Holly Beck Surveying was established in late 2003 and became certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by the North Dakota Department of Transportation in March 2004. In October 2004, our firm became incorporated as Holly Beck Surveying & Engineering, LLC. In January 2012, we re-organized as Holly Beck Surveying & Engineering, INC. We carry a Certificate of Commercial Practice from the ND Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors to practice engineering and surveying in the state of North Dakota.

Holly Beck, PLS, EI
president of Holly Beck Surveying & Engineering, INC has over 28 years of experience in the field of civil engineering and land surveying. She has been involved during all phases of transportation engineering, from concept reports, preliminary surveys, field and office computations, design, plan preparation, construction staking and construction observation. Her land surveying experience also includes section breakdowns and boundary surveys throughout North Dakota, preparing plats and descriptions for land development and transfer of property.
Holly is certified by the NDDOT as a Soils Field Tester, Aggregate Lab Tech, Asphalt Pavement Inspector, and Asphalt Mix Tester.
Doug Davidson, PE, LSIT
has nearly 10 years of experience in design, project management and construction staking. Doug brings a diverse engineering and surveying background to our team. He has excellent problem solving skills which are valuable for construction administration projects as well as surveying. He is experienced in preliminary engineering projects, including survey, concept reports and construction administration for the NDDOT having developed relationships with the NDDOT personnel at the District level as well as in the Design Division.
Doug is certified by the NDDOT as a Soils Field Tester, Aggregate Lab Tech., Asphalt Pavement Inspector, Asphalt Mix Tester, and Asphalt Mix Controller.
Thomas Weigel, EIT
began working summers for Holly Beck Surveying & Engineering in 2007 while pursuing a degree in civil engineering. He graduated in May, 2010 and accepted a permanent position as a project engineer with Holly Beck Surveying & Engineering, INC.
Tom is experienced with surveying and construction inspection having been responsible for construction staking, project documentation and pay estimates. He is certified by the NDDOT as a Soils Field Tester and an Aggregate Lab Tech.
Kirby Rudolph, Engineer Technician
began working for Holly Beck Surveying & Engineering, INC in early 2006 as a survey technician. He has gained experience in preliminary surveying as well as construction staking on NDDOT projects and subdivision developments. He has assisted in numerous boundary surveys, locating section corners, documenting section corner ties and preparing monument recordation forms. He also participates in the construction administration of widening and riprap projects, chip seal projects, missile road regraveling projects, pavement marking projects and overlay projects.
He is proficient in the use of Trimble GPS equipment, having attended training provided by Trimble as well as NDDOT Survey Methods and Procedures training. Kirby is certified by the NDDOT as an Aggregate Lab Tech., Soils Field Tester, Asphalt Pavement Inspector, Asphalt Mix Tester, and Asphalt Mix Controller.

works as a survey assistant on a field crew throughout the construction season.

is certified by the NDDOT as an Asphalt Inspector and has experience in construction surveying and observation
Patti Ivey
spent 11 years working for the BLM in their soils testing labratory, with 6 of those years as the labratory supervisor. She is certified by the NDDOT as an Aggregate Lab Tester, Asphalt Mix Tester, and Asphalt Inspector.
